It’s been awhile since I found a dress that I reached into my closet for every time I was getting ready to go out to dinner whether it be with friends, colleagues, or date night with my husband.  This sleeveless black grid Broderie Anglaise cotton dress by Carven, has been just that. I love the longer flared skirt overlay, the print pattern on the fitted top, the high neck, and that it has pockets.

I paired the dress with my trusted black Balmain leather jacket, which can never do me wrong – I wear it a lot!  The Jimmy Choo heels, even though they also have cutouts on the strap, really completed the look

Keeping to silver hardware I chose my ‘Dolly Riot’ safety pin-themed Tom Binns for Charlotte Olympia Perspex clutch which was a limited edition collaboration between the two designers for last years Costume Institute’s opening of PUNK: Chaos to Couture.
