For part two of my Jimmy Fairly press trip, we left Bordeaux’s wine and vineyards behind for Biarritz’ upscale, seaside vibe. While Bordeaux was much more about wine tones and romantic dresses, the feel of Biarritz was beach chic. I had never been here before, but I always love coming to places I’ve never been. This place, in particular, is somewhere my sister would love. It’s ideal for surfing and has a very French vibe. With a bit of beach boutique shopping, rosé by the sea, and a grand stay at Hotel du Palais, I was feeling very Grace Kelly by the end of our trip!

WHERE WE STAYED:

While in Biarritz, we stayed in the beautiful Hotel du Palais right along the coast. Everything about it was very grand, from the staircases to the decor, the spa, restaurant, and the interior and exterior views.

WHERE WE ATE:

In under 48 hours, we made our fair share of delicious food stops — Jimmy Fairly took us to some of the best places to get the most authentic, local experience.

Le Surfing Biarritz: For classic surfer’s burger or lunch — Even Marat Safin is a fan, he was eating right next to us!

Hétéroclito in Guethary: One of the top places for a sunset view, drinks, appetizers, and oysters.

Le Madrid: Steps away from Heteroclito also in Guethary- A great casual find that’s also a hotel with some of the most delicious food.

Maison Dézamy: Some of the best ice cream I have ever had. Order the Lemon Meringue… trust me!

Albertine: We had a private tour of this adorable local beach shop. I got the Tess for my sister & the Lina for myself! They’re known for their swimwear but also have beautiful lingerie pieces and cute sweatshirts with all of the nearby beach city names.

Des Petits Hauts: This brand is based out of Paris, but their boutique has several great finds. I came home with a sweater, shorts, and pants, but had a hard time deciding — everything was understatedly chic, comfortable, and wearable.

In addition to lot’s of local shops you’ll also find your usual boutiques: Hermes, BA | SH, and Galeries Lafayette.
