The Serpentine Party is definitely my favorite party of the summer, it feels like London’s own little version of The Met Gala. The best of British designers, actors, models, and all of London’s social scene attend this party. It’s one I haven’t missed in the almost 4 years I’ve been in London. It is also the best party to dress people for, and of course it’s a great excuse to get dressed up myself.

This year, I chose to wear designer Michael Van Der Hamm who has made a name for himself by mismatching unique, bold fabrics. MVDH studied at Central St. Martins, worked at Alexander McQueen and now shows at London Fashion Week.  He has definitely become one of my go-to British designers for both clients and myself.

I mixed the MVDH dress with a chartreuse hand-knit cardigan by the late L’wren Scott, a cream Nicholas Kirkwood ankle boot with lace detail, and a red Charlotte Olympia lucite clutch.
