London Fashion Week AW18: Monday Blues & Pink Satin Hues

Day 2 of London Fashion Week AW18 was all about the Monday Blues. I started the day at Rejina Pyo wearing a regal cape from Svetlana, then lost the cape for Temperley, transitioning into an earthy ethereal look, by the London designer herself.  Fashion week is always a funny time to bond with your driver.  I had Black Lane driving me to all of my shows, and by the end of Fashion Week, your driver really sees it all. Clothes are flying, the boot’s loaded up, and as glamorous as fashion week seems, hangers and clothes are everywhere.

CAPE | SVETLANA

DRESS | TEMPERLEY LONDON

SHOES | ZARA

SUNGLASSES | GUCCI

BAG | HERMÈS (SIMILAR)

Car change #3, I slipped into this embroidered Svetlana ensemble. The brand had reached out to me on Instagram prior to fashion week, requesting to design an original piece for me to wear. I’ve always been into embroidery and eastern European influence, as I’m Polish, plus it was such a lovely thing to have someone want to make something especially for me. I love supporting super talented up and coming designers, and really think it’s an amazing line. At a time when it seems like plaid suiting was the outfit of choice, it was a risk to wear something like this, but fashion is about having fun and taking risks, otherwise, it would be boring!

OUTFIT 2

The last look of the day was all about pink suiting. With both Mary Katrantzou and Peter Pilotto’s runway shows taking place at night, I needed a London Fashion Week look, that was sleek, sophisticated, but ready for a good time. This satin & Other Stories set was the perfect pink to polish off the evening….  styled with Laurence Dacade boots (similar here) and a lacy La Perla bra-latte.
