London Fashion Week is always super exciting. I love going to the shows to see what’s coming up next in fashion and to get totally inspired. I am super lucky to call a few of the insanely talented designers my friends and going to their shows to support them after all their hard work is like being a kid in a candy store.

The day of the Michael Van der Ham show, I wore one of his SS14 dresses. Michael Van der Ham is one of my constant go-to designers for evenings and events in London. He just gets it right when wanting something special but not shouting it out loud. To get me through the longest day of LFW I paired an oversized yummy gray cardigan by JBrand for the not-so-hot, but not-so-cold London weather. Long cozy cardigans can be found on the fashion site (Topshop and Asos have some very similar sweaters) and to jazz up the casualness of the big gray cardigan I paired lace Jimmy Choo booties and my beloved Givenchy Bambi clutch.

During New York Fashion Week lots of fringe made it on to the runway so I thought what a perfect time to take out my recent find in my mom’s closet: a vintage black leather skirt which she wore when she was my age.  How sweet to think that my mom was rockin’ the same skirt twenty years ago, that I am wore to shows during London Fashion week. Tamara Mellon has an almost replica of mom’s vintage skirt in her current collection.

Fringe is everywhere and it doesn’t seem to be going anywhere, thank God for that because I really dig it.  I wore the skirt with a boxy shaped JBrand top (similar here). With simple black strap Givenchy shoes which every living human being should have a version of (similar here) and once again my Givenchy Bambi clutch.

A very special thank you to Buccellati for allowing me to borrow the amazing earrings. I also wore them to the Moda Operandi dinner that evening. Wearing them was heavenly, you will be mine one day.
