Reworked denim comes with a price and a Topshop top, doesn't

I am all about mixing high and low, usually its an expensive top or shoes with affordable jeans. This time, its the opposite with my new favorite Le Mix jeans from Frame Denim at a steep, $449 a pair, and a cutout sleeve, box fit, top from Topshop at $110.

Why so much for jeans, you may ask? Firstly, I am not the only crazy person out there spending this much money on jeans because Shopbop only has a couple sizes left, and, Netaporter.com and MatchesFashion.com have already sold out of this style. Secondly, I honestly have not taken them off since I bought them, which makes them worth every penny. Thirdly, this modern fit, butter soft pair, is made of patchwork denim from varied washes in a super cool cut and on current trend with the re-used, recycled and deconstructed denim look also seen from Shop Re/Done and Vetements. And, finally, reworked denim does not come with cost cutting prices, they are premium, with Vetements running close to a thousand dollars a pair.

When you’ve spent this much for a pair of jeans, you better love them – and I do. Frame has exploded onto the market the last couple years as a must-have denim brand with polished, signature styles, as well as, adding blouses and jackets to their line as seen on Shopbop.com.

Now, that you have your expensive jeans, pair it with a not-so-overly expensive top like this one from Topshop that reminded me a bit of stunning, Delpozo with its floral, gold thread and pastel appliqués. Just today, I saw that this Topshop top was trending on the Topshop website, which usually means it will be sold out quickly. So, don’t miss out on the top that looks expensive but isn’t.
