What To Wear: Amalfi Coast, The Hamptons, Rome and Lakeside House

July and August have always been the biggest months for Europeans to take their holiday vacations. From Rome to the Hamptons, I’ve rounded up some of my favourite looks to keep you chic while jet setting this summer.

Amalfi Coast

The ideal spot for honeymooners or couples getting engaged. Every area is literally picture perfect so don’t forget your camera. Lightweight linens and casual summer dresses are ideal for this hot location. At night, form fitting dresses and blocked wedges are ideal for candle light dinners.

The Hamptons

The original beach retreat for the Upper East Side Manhattans has now become one of the hottest vacation destinations in the United States. Just over an hour and a half away from the city, you’ll instantly forget about work over the long weekend. Preppy with a chic edge is the calling cards for this treat. One-pieces work wonders for going straight from the beach to the bar.

Roman Holiday

Flights to Europe are at an all time low and with the Dollar to Euro conversion so in favour, stop whatever you’re doing and book your flights now to see the iconic city. If you’re stopping by the Vatican or any of the hundreds of churches in sight, it’s best to dress a little more conservative. You’ll also be walking around ruins so comfy sandals or sneakers are a necessity. Italian style is one a kind so don’t be afraid to add a special flare to your outfit.

Lakeside House

Whether you’re heading out west or just to the lakehouse for a weekend, a little R&R can do everyone some good. Anything gingham and plaid ensembles can leave you staying chic while swinging off tires into the lake. Always bring a light summer sweater and casual denim for the chilly nights.
